Carolin Wendling

Ambizione Junior Group Leader

I am an evolutionary biologist interested in the ecology and evolution of microbial populations. In my research I combine experimental evolution and genomics to understand how bacteria and mobile genetic elements, in particular temperate phages co-evolve across time and in different environments. On-going (inter-) national collaborations are contributing mathematical models that enable us to go beyond laboratory-based research

I am currently leading an Ambizione Junior Group funded through the SNSF at the Institute for Integrative Biology,  ETH Zürich.

When I am not working I am a mummy of twins enjoying the view of the world through their eyes.
